Maher Charles Saha, MD

Dr. Maher Charles Saha was raised and educated in New York City. He graduated cum laude from New York University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry.
He went on to medical school at New York University School of Medicine. He commenced his medical residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Saha completed his advanced training with a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Saha specializes in the evaluation and management of esophageal disorders (difficulty swallowing, GERD and heartburn), indigestion (dyspepsia), gastric and duodenal ulcers, celiac disease and inflammatory bowel disease. He is very keen on prevention and the diagnosis of colon polyps and colon cancer.
Dr. Saha is actively involved with the training of residents, fellows and medical students at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.

A note from Dr. Saha.
Over the past few decades, I have had the privilege and honor of helping my patients navigate through their healthcare needs. Patients have allowed me to be part of their life during some of the most challenging times and have been able to confide in me their fears and concerns. I have always honored the trust given to me and reliance upon my judgment and skills.
I always try to remember the person sitting in front of me and treat them as my own family. As a physician, I am also a caretaker—it is more than just prescribing medication or performing procedures. I have a pivotal role in comforting patients during very difficult times.
I have always tried to be caring, compassionate, and empathetic to my patients’ needs. I am there to be a means of support to convey hope and optimism while explaining the pertinent medical issues affecting a patient. I take this responsibility seriously and hope to gain your trust.
