Questions people ask first.
When should I start colon cancer screening?
For adults at average risk, screening starts at 45. If a close relative has had colon cancer or polyps, or you have bowel symptoms, it may start earlier. Use the screening check at the top of this page, then ask us about your own situation.
What should I bring to a first visit?
A list of your medications, any earlier colonoscopy or endoscopy reports, recent lab results, notes from other doctors, and your insurance card.
Is this an emergency?
Severe abdominal pain, vomiting blood, heavy rectal bleeding or black stools need emergency care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use online booking, the phone line or the message form for emergencies.
